Naomi Ellen Luse

Naomi "Ellen" Luse, age 90 of Waynetown, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Franciscan Health Crawfordsville. She was born in Rockville on February 20, 1932 to the late Frank Todd and Claire Marjorie (Nevins) O'Haver.

She graduated from Rockville High School and went on to attend Indiana State Teachers College where she received a Bachelor's and Masters degree in education. She married the love of her life Harvey "Cocky" Luse on April 14, 1957 and he preceded her in death on December 6, 1969. In 1994, Ellen retired from teaching at Pleasant Hill. She attended Waynetown Christian Church and was a member of the Retired Teachers Association in Montgomery County. Ellen was an avid reader. She enjoyed music and playing the piano in her free time.

Ellen is survived by a son, Frank Todd (Sandy) Luse; two daughters, Garth Ann Reed and Jennifer (Barry) Hickman; seven grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Todd Fisher.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Mary Meek and Frances Fisher; and a son-in-law, Michael Reed.
