Ronnie Lee Farrell

Ronnie Lee Farrell, age 85 of Crawfordsville and formerly of Rising Sun, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Ben Hur Nursing Home in Crawfordsville. He was born in Lawrenceburg, Indiana on December 19, 1938 to the late Calvin & Mary A. (Hartman) Farrell.

Ronnie graduated from Central High School in Cincinnati, Ohio and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1959-1966. He was a brakeman for the C&O Railroad for 32 years before retiring. He was a member of the American Legion and Moose Lodge in Rising Sun, Indiana. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, watching NASCAR and football, and was always tinkering in his barn.

On September 17, 1981 he married the love of his life, Mary Elizabeth Hylton, who preceded him in death on February 28, 2016.

He is survived by a daughter-in-law, Theresa (Jimmy) Hudson, grandchildren, Bailey Farrell and Colten Hudson; step-children, Duane (Liz) Flaherty, Betty Brennan, Kay Weathington, and Lynn (Roy) Lewis; 15 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary; his son, Randy Farrell; and step-daughter, Debi Coleman.
