Katherine Louise Barker

Katherine Louise Barker, age 61, of Veedersburg passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care in Terre Haute. She was born in Danville, Illinois on March 10, 1962 to the late Dale Eugene & Frances Orabelle (Rouse) Barker.

Kathy graduated from Covington High School in 1980. Throughout the years she worked at Van Vactor Oil in Covington and was working at Scott's Pet Products in Rockville for the last 23 years. She loved the outdoors; enjoyed fishing and hunting, loved to bowl, draw, and was quite an artist; but most of all she loved watching and spending time with her great nieces.

She is survived by four sisters, Charlotte (Jim) Lowe of Williamsport, Christine (Everett) Howard of Veedersburg, Diana (Ronny) Hickman of Veedersburg, and Patti Kinderman of Clinton; one brother, Russell (Pam) Barker of Veedersburg; many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Cremation was chosen with a visitation at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S 1st Street in Kingman on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 12:00 pm till time of the memorial service at 2:00 pm. Everyone is invited to a tree planting and celebration of life gathering at her sister, Diana Hickman's residence, 2358 S Barker Road, Veedersburg after the memorial service.
