Douglas Earl Wilson, age 53 of Kingman, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Franciscan Health in Crawfordsville. He was born in Miami, Florida on June 9, 1968 to Stephen & Jean (Hull) Wilson.
Doug grew up in Harlansburg, Pennsylvania and went to Laurel School District and graduated from Lawrence County Vo-Tech with a specialty in welding and New Castle School of Trade for Welding. He then enlisted and proudly served his country in the United States Army for over 7 years. While in the military and stationed in Hawaii he met his wife, Tracy Judy; they were married June 7, 1993. Throughout the years he worked for US Air and GE Aviation. He loved racing, worked the pit crew for Matus Racing in the sprint car circuit, and in the last few years he loved racing with Archangel racing. He loved racing motorcycles, going to amusement parks, loved his dogs and cats, especially his St. Bernards. He loved his country, family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Tracy Wilson of Kingman; his parents, Stephen & Jean (Hull) Wilson of Harlansburg, PA; two daughters, Payton Wilson of Kingman and Sidney (Craig Black) Wilson of Clinton; a brother, Andrew (Joy) Wilson of Harlansburg, PA; aunt, Silvia Jane (Dan) Hull of Harlansburg, PA; his mother-in-law, Patty Cawthon of Kingman; special nieces and nephews, Adeline, Nolan, Delanie, and numerous brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father-in-law, Donald Cawthon.
Visitation will be at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S 1st Street in Kingman on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 1:00pm till the time of the Celebration of Life Service at 3:00pm with Fred Harris officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
