Darla E. Goins Dukes

Darla E. Goins Dukes, age 63 of Crawfordsville passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at home while surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Crawfordsville on November 6, 1956 to the late Frank Jr & Lena Mae (Johnson) Goins.

Darla graduated from North Montgomery High School and was a loving mother, homemaker, and caregiver.  She was married to Roy Clayton, they later divorced, and remarried Bradley J. Dukes, and he preceded her in death on September 9, 2016.  She enjoyed cooking and loved shopping, especially yard sales and thrift shops.  She enjoyed interior design, crafting and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her 4 children, Brandy (J.T) Booe, Heidi (Jack) Clayton Gearlds, Megan (Damon) Albright, and Brooke Clayton and her granddaughter, Aaliyah, who she raised as her own; 3 siblings, Rebecca (Felipe) Martinez, Shelia Scott, and Roberta “Sis” Gwen Goins; 11 grandchildren, Alana, Angel, Zakk, Miles, Justin, Kadee, Emma, Jackie, Hannah, Aubrey, and Braden; and 4 great grandchildren, Petra, Sophia, Embry, and Thea; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Roy Clayton and Bradley Dukes; and a sister, Ramona Thomas.

Visitation will be at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S Washington St, in Crawfordsville on Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 12:00pm till the time of the funeral service at 2:00pm with Pastor Mike Whitacre officiating.  Burial will follow at Wallace Lutheran Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society in her memory.  Share memories and condolences online at www.sandersfuneralcare.com
