Alan J. Lang

Alan Jeffrey Lang, age 63 of Crawfordsville, passed away at home on Monday, September 28, 2020. He was born in Anderson, Indiana on May 25, 1957, the son of Charles Robert & Dorothy M. (Nelson) Lang.

In May of 1979 he married, Paula Hughes, and they later divorced; he then married Maralee Keller, who preceded him in death on February 16, 2015.

Throughout the years Alan worked as a mechanic at Horner’s and was a welder for Hysters in Danville, IL. He loved animals, fishing, visiting Kentucky, camping, anything to do with the outdoors, and enjoyed going to auctions and cooking for others.

He is survived by two daughters, Wesley Lang and Tracy Lang, both of Crawfordsville; four step-daughters, Tara Lucus, Amanda Burchett, Lucy Burchett, and Jolene Burchett; four grandchildren, Rylan Dowell, Emma Berry, Brendan Hayes, and Landon Hayes; and seven step grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Maralee.

Cremation was chosen with a visitation at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S Washington St. in Crawfordsville on Saturday, October 10, 2020 from 1:00pm till the time of the memorial service at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
