Obituary

Barbara Jean (Myers) Lady, age 82 of Ladoga passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at Wellbrooke of Crawfordsville. She was born in Harvey, IL on August 31, 1937 to the late Hugh & Lenore “Violet” (Gilkison) Myers.

Barbara graduated from Ladoga High School in 1955 and married James Lady on December 29, 1957, they later divorced. She was happily married to Clifford Eaton for 10 years before he passed in 2015. Barbara worked at many different jobs at Inland Container and retired as the office manager. Her and Cliff lived in Florida for 10 years and she was the president of the Zephyrhills Tourist Club in Florida and was an active square dancer. She was a member of the Crawfordsville Women’s Moose Lodge.

She is survived by two sons, Brian Lady of Ladoga and Bruce Lady of Florida; three daughters, Cheryl (Leonard) Brown of Illinois, Diane Lady of Vincennes, and Colleen (David) Bell of Waveland; a brother, Edgar (LaVon Lapree) Myers of Florida; two sisters, Eleanor (Roger) Wilcox of Browns Valley and Connie (Junior Crews) Flick of Crawfordsville; seven grandchildren, Nichole (Jerry) Mueller, Michael Brown, Danielle (Trey) Holland, Jacob Johnson, Erica Cozaciuc, Eric Lady, and Sophia Lady; three great grandchildren, Andrei and Lucian Cozaciuc, and Lenore Holland.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, James Lady and second husband, Cliff Eaton; and an infant brother, Lonnie Myers.

Cremation was chosen with a graveside service at Oak Hill Cemetery, 392 Oak Hill Road, in Crawfordsville at 10:00am on Friday, October 4, 2019. Sanders Priebe Funeral Care entrusted with care. Share memories and condolences online at www.sandersfuneralcare.com
